DHL Logistics Ltd – five floors and more

The Problem
We needed a goods lift to service part of a warehouse that could stop at five levels while accommodating different floor levels on either side. A particularly low ceiling created additional complications, especially for the installation.

Elephante’s Solution
Elephante constructed a purpose designed lift framework which matched the exact clearance heights. And thanks to its thorough and highly detailed site survey and ‘method statement’ it brought in a forklift truck to install the lift that could manoeuvre within the restricted clearance. The precise route for the forklift truck was planned out and every aspect of the installation was worked through to make sure the lift would fit. The pre planning was so efficient, that on the day of installation we hardly knew they were there.
